Awards Assembly

The awards assembly was this past Friday at Shelby's school. She was so proud to get her Principal's List award for good behavior and good study skills. She was thrilled that her Daddy could be there. She was overheard by her teacher telling several people, "That is my Daddy. He is the bald one. You can see the light shining off his head." After hearing about that comment, Bob put his hat back on!

McEaster

We had a chance to meet up with Brandi and the kids the Saturday before Easter. Shelby was so excited to see Josh and Delainy and her sis. We met them at McDonalds for lunch to give them the little Easter baskets Shelby had helped me put together. Delainy hasn't changed much but Josh has thinned out. He is looking so grown up! They all had fun playing and checking out what was in the Easter baskets.

Let the Hunting Begin

Photobucket

Today was a great day for an Easter Egg hunt. Shelby's class along with the other two kindergarten classes at our school got to hunt for candy filled eggs this afternoon. The big kids (a.k.a. the 1st graders) had to wait until the little kids were finished and had gone back inside. The 4th graders filled the eggs and hid them for both groups of hunters.

Photobucket

Shelby wasn't too excited while listening to the directions. Imagine that!!!!

Photobucket

And they're off!

Photobucket

She found one right away. She was so worried that she wouldn't find any.

You can tell by the smile on her face that she had a blast!

Longaberger Online Exclusive - Large Desktop Basket - $49

Just a few days ago at work, I was looking at my friend Tammie's desk and admired how organized it is. She has several Longaberger baskets on her desk to hold all her pens, papers, books, etc. As a teacher you can imagine how much "stuff" she has on her desk, even with all her "stuff," her desk looks great and she can find anything she needs. I commented that I need to get a good basket to help organize the MESS on my desk. Someone in Longaberger world must have been listening. That very day I received information about this one day special. I am going to be sure to order early on the 8th. The one day special last week went fast. So fast that I had two customers not able to buy the magazine rack. Enough of my ramblings, here are some details...

The Large Desktop Basket is available on April 8, 2009 for $49 as an online only exclusive. Dimensions of the basket are given in the image above. Protectors, divides and liners are available in the current Wishlist. I would be happy to help you order them or you can order online with me.

With the WoodCrafts Divides, the Large Desktop Basket makes the perfect "tax time" organizer—there’s a place for receipts, envelopes, stamps, calculator and more!

Or, try these great ideas:

Keep teens organized – Store magazines, game cartridges, DVDs, CDs and iPod essentials so they don’t have to look for them. Give it a personal touch by adding photo trees to show off their favorite photos.

Use as a hair care station – The tall back of the basket is perfect for styling tools, hair products and the smaller compartments can be used to hold clips, barrettes, ponytail holders and hairpins.

To order, click on the above picture or on the link below to be taken to my Longaberger shop. From that page, you can view and purchases any item from the current Wish List as well as items from the Longaberger Homestead and Factory Store.

Longaberger Pottery - April Sale - Save 20%

This is the perfect month to add to your Longaberger pottery collection! Longaberger is offering 20% off woven traditions pottery. This includes both the round and soft square pieces as well as the new contour bowls and trays! PLUS, for every $50 you spend in April, you will receive a $10 coupon to be redeemed in June. Just ask me about how the coupon works.

I am so excited about this sale. I have a few odds and ends pieces of the pottery but am planning to purchase 8 place settings and some additional pieces in tomato red. I was lucky enough to catch the latte mugs on a Wednesday online special a couple months ago before they were retired.

I was looking at a couple Longaberger pottery mugs that I have had for over 10 years and was amazed at how they still look new! What is even better, everything coordinates!

If you would like to check out the sales, click the above picture or the link below to be directed to my Longaberger shop. You can find the above specials as well as all the items that are available in the current Wish List.
