Road Trip to Union, WV

Bob, Shelby and I took a road trip to Union, WV today. We finally got to visit with MaMaw Hall. We have been trying to make it there since early December but the weather wouldn't let us. There were a couple weekends that were nice enough for the trip but Bob had to work. Anyway, we made it there today. It was really nice to see her and Aunt Linda. Becky (my cousin) and her son, Lane, came over for a bit as well. MaMaw seems to be doing really well for a lady in her early 90's. We hope to make it back up in the spring to see everyone.

This is Shelby with Lane.  He is about 6 months older than she is but about a foot taller!

This is me with Becky.  She is a few years younger than me and quite a bit taller as well.  I am blurry because I was trying to stand on my toes in the picture so I wouldn't look so short!

Longaberger Specials Jan. 12 - 13, 2010 - Baskets and Fluted Cake Pans

Longaberger has 2 great specials coming in the next few days!

The little baskets make great gifts or could be used as a "gift bag" for a gift.

The bunt style pans are awesome.  I love mine.  They are so nice that I had many customers order more to give as gifts once they got theirs and realized the gifting potential.  The only bad thing about that was they didn't get as good of a deal as the pans are now!  Can you believe that at 2 for $20 that makes them only $10 EACH?  These are great to have on hand for upcoming weddings, graduations, house warmings, birthdays, and even plan further ahead to next Christmas.  The pan alone makes a nice gift but for a few more dollars you could add any or all of the following: an apron, kitchen utensils, cake cookbook, or cake mixes...

What a super idea for a "Sunshine Basket" for a friend that may be sick or having a difficult time.  A "Sunshine Basket" can be a basket, gift bag or in this case a baking pan that is filled with theme related items by just you or with the kindness of friends and coworkers.

Just follow the link to my Longaberger site on the dates of the sales to make your purchase.  If you live close to me and would like to order one, let me know because I will be taking a group order so that we can share the shipping charges.

Let It Snow!

This winter has been quite snowy!  Yesterday evening, Shelby got to go sledding for the first time ever. It always seemed that she was either sick, it was too cold or too wet, etc. in the past for her to do it.  She had a blast and can't wait to go again.

Christmas 2009

I think the pictures say it all.  But a summary of our Christmas would be cold, snowy, no power nor water for days, seeking refuge at Jonnie's house and with all that having a great Christmas we will never forget.  Oh yes, also add in the fact that Shelby got way too much for Christmas!

101 Things To Do In 1001 Days

I have created a list of 101 things that I want to do within the next 1001 days.  I chose to do this instead of making a New Year's resolution.  As I begin working on and/or complete each of the 101, I will blog about it.  I have created a blog dedicated solely to the list.

I would like to take this opportunity to challenge my family and friends to compile their own list of 101 things!  One of the best parts of this is that you have nearly 3 years to complete your list and you can start at any time.  You don't have to start your list at the beginning of the year.  Let me know if you choose to accept the challenge.

This is the link to my "101" blog.
